IntelliSmut.com was inspired by the relative lack of adult review sites out there, especially ones that seek out quality porn and erotica that’s off the (very well) beaten path. We’re avid consumers of adult material, but have also been involved in its creation and/or distribution - the field is definitely a familiar one to us. We’ve seen A LOT of porn, some good, some bad, some great, and we’d like to spread the word on the sites that stand out.

Our evaluations and reviews are straightforward:

• One rating from 1-10. The scores aren’t inflated, so 5 could be described as “Okay, but nothing special”. A 7 is good, a 3 you should probably stay away from unless it’s a niche you absolutely love, and a 10 is the flawless Holy Grail. These numbers can be a handy first glance, but keep in mind they’re a combination of the writer’s overall impressions and don’t necessarily tell the whole story - that’s for the review itself.

• The review gives you a general tour of the site in question - what it’s all about, what content (images, video, writing, etc) you can expect to find, how everything’s laid out, etc. We’ll also describe the design, ease of navigation, both quality and quantity of material, frequency of updates, cost vs. value, and other specifics that come up. A few sample images give you some visual ideas of what you can expect (though we do leave the more explicit stuff for the sites themselves).
